Kaj Larsen started as a Partner and Civil and Structural Engineer in Larsen Design office in Sydney in 1989.

 

Prior to his commencement with Larsen Design, Mr. Larsen had a distinguished career as a Branch Manager and Director of International Consulting Engineering Firms. He was member of The Institution of Engineers Australia from 1980 to 2004. Mr. Larsen has a strong background in major infrastructure projects. For more than 40 years he has worked as a civil and structural engineer on construction projects in Australia and worldwide, primarily in developing countries.  Links to images of some of these projects from past employments are listed below.

Over the years Mr. Larsen has been involved in many of the most important Projects in Papua New Guinea and many projects in the Pacific countries such as Western Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu, and Kiribati:

From 1977 to 1980 Kaj Larsen was Director of Arup Australia International Pty. Ltd. Consulting Engineers, responsible for work in Papua New Guinea.

 

Kaj Larsen was Member of the Institution Engineers Australia from 1980 to 2004. He was a Founding Member of Society of Professional Engineers of Papua New Guinea. (Now Institution of Engineers Papua New Guinea)

 

Mr. Larsen graduated from the Civil Engineering College of Copenhagen with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

 

Mr. Larsen has been married to his wife Jan since 1969 and the couple has 2 adult children.
